We’re so glad you found us. We assume that since you did, you know your Myers-Briggs® personality type, and why you do what you do. We suspect, however, that it’s getting some insight into why they do what they do that has you out searching for help. Whether it’s a work conflict or a relationship at home that’s keeping you up at night, there’s no need to lose any more sleep. You’re just a few swipes away from understanding others better and communicating with them in a positive and impactful way.

This app from CPP, Inc., publisher of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment, is designed for people who already know their four-letter Myers-Briggs type. The app does not include the assessment. For information on how to obtain your Myers-Briggs type visit www.mbticomplete.com.

The app provides you with insights about each of the 16 Myers-Briggs personality types. Use it to
• Learn more about your own type and communication style
• Gain a better understanding of the other 15 personality types
• Store personality type information for your contacts
• Compare two personality types to understand how different communication styles interact
• Share your key insights with others via email and social networks
• Empower your communications (and, we hope, snag some extra zzz’s)

In addition to an overview of Strengths, Potential Blind Spots, and Communication Style for each type, the app includes additional topics that will help you better understand yourself and others as well as manage your daily interactions both on and off the clock, including:

How Others See You. Feeling like you’ve been misunderstood or that others don’t “get” you? Use this section to see yourself from the vantage point of others and you may learn something about yourself that you didn’t know before.

At Work. What are your leadership strengths? How do you best contribute to your organization? Gain a better understanding of your unique value proposition and what work environments best suit you—important information to remember as you look to make your career mark.

Reaction to Stress. Learn to identify when you’ve hit your limit and plan your most important communications for when you’re at your best.

Taking Time to Relax. No matter what your type, you’ll benefit from some down time. And, if your idea of relaxing is spending time with others, use the app to check out what they prefer doing for fun. What’s energizing for you might actually be draining for them!
Development Suggestions. Isn’t this the point of building awareness? Learn more about what you can do to be more effective and apply it to different aspects of your life.

Communicating Effectively
What You Want to Hear. Why not help others help you? Use this content to provide others with some insights as to what information is most important to you when it comes to communicating ideas or plans.

When Expressing Yourself. Think about how you typically communicate and you will also get a sense for what you might be prone to overlook.

Giving and Receiving Feedback. Feeling the need to let someone know what you think or how you’re feeling about something they’ve said or done? Dealing with the situation can be awkward, but you can make it less so with a little awareness. Use this section to arm yourself with some information about how to disarm the conversation.

Improving Communication. Are you putting your best foot forward? Check this section for reminders of how you can adjust your style to communicate in the most effective manner.

Do’s and Don’ts. Headed to a meeting or lunch date? Look to this section for how to prepare for the discussion, what to expect from different personalities, and how to communicate most effectively.

So, there’s no need for poor communication encounters to stress you out and keep you up at night. Get a better handle on who you are, what they prefer, and how you can be a more effective communicator and everybody wins—restful nights for all!
